Sepia by Vistamar

Vista Mar Sepia

This Chilean Merlot’s label reads “This is a deep cherry-red wine, offering aromas of candied red fruits, plums, all set of by delicate notes of coffee and chocolate.  It is juicy in the mouth, with smooth, silky tannins and a delicious balance that lead into a long, fruity and pleasant finish”.

I’ve come to realize I like wine with notes of coffee and chocolate.  But I don’t think I have ever tried a wine with both.  This wine is just how the label explains, deep.  From the moment I poured this beautiful red liquid into my glass, I could tell just how intense this wine was going to be.

Although it is a deep red wine, it’s not as strong as other deep reds.  I enjoy more of a medium bodied red blend myself but I would buy this wine again.  As far as pairing goes, I did not get a chance to pair it with anything just yet.

As you can tell I finished the bottle.  I must have liked it!
